PROCLAMATION OF LESLIE'S WEEK
Sevier County Tennessee is the the home base for LESLIE'S WEEK. It is situated in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. It's population is 93,570; the county seat is Sevierville; it has four municipalities within its boundaries; Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville, and Pittman Center. Sevier County is the home of Dollywood, Ober Gatlinburg, and the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. More than 12 million visitors come through Sevier County every year to visit the National Park and 2 million of those visitors go to Dollywood, whose partner is Dolly Parton. Dolly was born in Sevierville. Her contributions and generosity to Sevier County education programs and students are legendary.
